Manoharan Malayalam
Founding Partner
Manoharan Malayalam obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom in 1989. He did his pupillage in the chambers of eminent lawyers R.K Nathan and Kartar Singh between 1991 and 1992. Mr R.K Nathan was a high court judge. Manoharan also holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics (Business Administration) which he obtained from the University of Malaya in 1985. After being called to the bar in 1992, Manoharan worked as a Legal Assistant to Karpal Singh of Karpal Singh & Co. During his stint, he had specialised in Civil and Criminal Litigation and was made the Senior Legal Assistant. Among the cases Manoharan had attended include the Mary Anne and Kanneperan case and others.
Manoharan decided to branch out on his own and set up his first office, Messrs M Manoharan and Co in Kuala Lumpur on April 2nd, 2001. Manoharan has considerable experience in a broad spectrum of Commercial, Corporate and Private Client Work. His work involves Sales and Purchase of Private Properties, Residential, Shop Houses and Flats, Review and Advice on Sales Agreements, Leases and Power of Attorneys. He has also acted for Banks and Insurance Companies on an Ad Hoc Basis.
Manoharan also specialises in Civil and Commercial Litigation, in particular disputes arising from Breach of Contract, Trust and Administration matters, Traffic Accident and Insurance Claims, Debt Collection and Insolvency Actions, Adoption and Divorce.
Manoharan believes in giving back and is actively involved in community service and assisting the needy.
Anis Salihah binti Abdul Malek
Legal Associate
Anis Salihah binti Abdul Malek has obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) on the 1st of October, 2019 from the University of Technology Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam that is among the notable public premier law school in Malaysia. After obtaining her LL.B Hons, she had proceeded to successfully complete her pupillage on the 23rd of July, 2020 at Messrs Amir Khusyairi & Associates in Shah Alam where she had assisted the Partners in handling Corporate and Civil Litigation files. She was also exposed to Criminal Litigation during her pupillage period.
Anis subsequently joined M Manoharan & Co. on the 2nd of September, 2020 as a paralegal and was admitted to the bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 2nd of October, 2020. Anis then commenced her practice at M Manoharan & Co. on the 23rd of October, 2020. Within her first few months of practice, Anis had experienced conducting criminal trials on her own at courts of first instance and being the junior counsel in the appellate courts, both the Court of Appeal and Federal Court.
Anis primarily focuses on criminal litigation. Apart from that, she also handles matters relating to civil suits and judicial review, among other practice areas.
Nur Syamimi Adriana Shaharim

Nur Syamimi Adriana Shaharim obtained LL.B. (Hons) from the Universiti Teknologi MARA (UITM), Malaysia.
She was then called to the bar on September 25, 2020 after having completed her pupillage under the tutelage of Mr. Jagjeet Singh S/O Ranjit Singh at Messrs Saleem Gill & Partners. She then continued to serve at Messrs Salem Gill & Partners as a Legal Associate where she was trained and given opportunities to learn from experienced senior counsels in civil litigations specializes in running down matters.
Syamimi Adriana then joined Messrs M Manoharan & Co. in January 2, 2022 and is currently involved in dealing with both civil and criminal litigation. She has represented clients in Courts at the lower courts as well as the High Court and the Court of Appeal in numerous matters including but not limited to personal injury claims, criminal defense, tortious claims and contractual disputes.
Adiishyiah Tangarajoo
Legal Associate
Adiishyiah Tangarajoo read law at the University of Malaya and graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) in 2021.
She completed her pupillage in Messrs Dennis Nik and Wong, a well-known corporate legal firm in Kuala Lumpur between October 2021 to July 2022. Adiishyiah was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 19 August 2022 and joined M Manoharan & Co on 29 August 2022. Within her first few months of practice, Adiishyiah had experienced conducting hearings on her own at the Court of Appeal and being the junior counsel in the Court of Appeal.
Adiishyiah acts in a wide range of Civil Litigation matters involving contract law, land matters, defamation, divorce and family matters, employment law and other areas as well. Apart from Civil Litigation, Adiishyiah also handles Criminal Litigation.
Hariharan Manoharan
Legal Associate
Hariharan Manoharan read law at Cardiff University and graduated with 2nd Class Honours in 2019 and obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in 2021.
He underwent his pupilage at Messrs Sri Ram and subsequently called to High Court of Malaya in 2022. Hariharan joined M Manoharan & Co. in 2023 and his areas of practice are dispute resolution, employment disputes, criminal and civil litigation.
Sarathbala Balakrishnan
Legal Associate
Sarathbala Balakrishnan read law at University of Liverpool. After obtaining his Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons with 2nd upper) in 2019.
Subsequently, he enrolled himself in the Barrister-at-law and LLM course at City, University of London in 2020. While waiting for his Call to the Bar of England and Wales, he got an opportunity to shadow Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Solicitors at Willesden Magistrates Court, London, United Kingdom. He was lucky enough to observe and discuss case matters with other Crown Prosecutors and Barristers during trial.
Pursuant to his Call to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn on 26th July 2022, he commenced his pupillage under the tutelage of M Manoharan, where he was given a wide range of exposure in criminal matter such as murder and drug trafficking.
Upon admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 24th November 2024, he was retained at M Manoharan & Co. to enhance his legal journey with his pupil master. He assisted M Manoharan in notable and high-profile cases such in the late DPP Kevin Morais murder case at the Appellant Court and PP vs Sheila Sharon from Magistrate Court up to Court of Appeal.
Even though, his interest lies on criminal related matters, he also acts in civil litigation matters involving bankruptcy, contract law, family law, employment law and dispute resolution.
